Linda George served more than 30 years in full time ministry: 24 years as a military chaplain, and 8 years in various civilian chaplaincy positions. She continues to offer sermons/messages and spiritual guidance to several different worshiping communities. Her spiritual practices and teachings incorporate truths from Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Christianity is her lifelong heritage.
Linda has lived many places in the United States, and she lived in Germany for two years, and South Korea for one year. She loves traveling, learning about different cultures, and how people live. She also loves traveling to places where she experiences the natural world’s beauty, majesty, and challenges. She is an accomplished solo vocalist and pianist. She never had two-legged children, but she has parented and been loved by many, many dogs and cats over the years.
Linda was widowed twice. In her forties, her husband Jerry died in a car accident. In her sixties, her husband Wayne died after a prolonged bout with esophageal cancer. Those events, plus her years of offering pastoral care and compassion to untold numbers of folks, pushed her to explore her own vulnerabilities through this book.
Linda’s life is rich and full, and gratitude is her middle name.
